YouWriteonline -- the brain-child of authors Alex and Simon Scarrow -- is an online community which prides itself in offering honest, constructive criticism for authors, whatever their goal. We run monthly contests in which a prompt is offered to spark the creative, or challenge the technical abilities of our members; a perfect way to slip past writers block, or even to start the ball rolling on another big idea.

With an ever growing membership from all age groups, those members of YWo are commited to improving as authors, not only through practice (which, of course, makes perfect!) but also through critiquing the work of others, and in-so-doing examining what it is that makes up that all important interesting, well-written passage, poem, story, or novel.
YWo is proud to count among its active members over 5 published authors from differing fields of writing.

Other features available to members include The Bookshelf (for borrowing and lending books) a fully functional discussion forum for everyone to discuss anything and everything, with new features in the pipeline to make the site more of a community rather than a purely writing site.

YWo welcomes authors of all genres and formats, so join in, contribute, and reap the rewards!

Remember…“The original writer is not the one who refrains from imitating others, but the one who can be imitated by none.”

YOUWRITEOnline would like to thank the following users for their contributions to writing this welcome piece. So stand up and be recongised: Hume, Tony, BigRob and Parmenion.
